About Seventh-day Adventists
The Seventh-day Adventist Church is a Protestant denomination with approximately 24 million members worldwide, including more than 1.2 million members in North America. The Seventh-day Adventist Church seeks to enhance quality of life for people everywhere and to let people know that Jesus is coming again soon.
Adventists believe a Trinity of three persons—the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit—make up one God. They made salvation possible when Jesus, the Son, came to earth as a baby in Bethlehem and lived a sinless life in accordance with the Father’s will. When Jesus was crucified for the sins of the people of the world and arose from the dead on the third day, victory was won for everyone.
When He returned to heaven following the resurrection, Jesus left the Holy Spirit to serve as our Comforter and Counselor. He promised to return to earth a second time to complete His plan of salvation and take His people to heaven. Adventists are among the believers who look forward to that day.
Adventists believe that God is concerned with the quality of human life, and that everything—the way we live, eat, speak, think, treat each other, and care for the world around us—is part of His plan. Our families, our children, our jobs, our talents, our money, and our time are all important to Him.

About Pasco Riverview Adventist Church
The Riverview Adventist church has a long history in the Tri Cities. We’ve been here since the 1930’s. As we’ve grown we’ve added onto the church, which makes for lots of interesting nooks and crannies through the facility. Besides growing in place, we also planted new churches—the Richland Adventist church, then the Kennewick Adventist Church, and the Pasco Spanish Adventist church and most recently some of our members were involved in founding the Richland Spanish Adventist church.
Our brand of church experience is a traditional church service with children’s story, special music, congregational singing, Bible reading, and a sermon. We get everyone involved in our service, from the young children on up. We use the piano, organ, guitar, brass and strings and really any kind of instrument our members play (though not always all at once). We like to sing hymns and we like to sing biblically sound contemporary music too.
We are a church with a generous heart. Every Tuesday and Wednesday several of our members, and a bunch of our neighbors, get together to prepare for and host a community food bank where we serve around 1,300 families each week. If you’re needing some extra food, come by between 7 am and 12 pm every Wednesday. We also have a team preparing and delivering hot meals to the homeless on Wednesday afternoons and at least two other groups that give out food and encouragement to homeless throughout the Tri cities area. And that’s just a couple of the many ministries and services our church provides to our community. We believe that the gospel is lived out, not just talked about.
We’re a friendly group who love spending time together! Whether it’s a church social, small group Bible study, or a social gathering at someone’s house, there’s always something happening. We’d be delighted to have you join us and become part of our church family.
